Eyelid Surgery

Blepharoplasty
Over time, many people develop excess eyelid skin. When the upper eyelid skin stretches it can limit peripheral vision. To improve the field of vision the excess skin can be removed surgically; the procedure is called blepharoplasty.

Ectropion Repair
Drooping of the lower eyelid is called ectropion and most commonly occurs as a result of aging. Ectropion can cause dryness of the eyes, tearing, redness and sensitivity to light.

Entropion Repair
Entropion occurs most commonly as a result of aging. The lower eyelid turns inward, allowing the eyelashes and skin to rub against the eye, making it red, and irritated.

General Information
Eyelid surgery is performed as outpatient procedure in an ambulatory surgery center using local anesthetic.
