Dr. Grace Shin
was born in Ontario, Canada, and was raised in Michigan and Louisiana .After obtaining her undergraduate degree from Wellesley College in Massachusetts, she went on to receive her M.D. degree at the Tulane University School of Medicine and her M.P.H. degree at the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in Louisiana. She served her internal medicine internship at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Shin's residency in general ophthalmology took place at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at the University of California , Los Angeles (UCLA). She then completed a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus also at UCLA. Dr. Shin is a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology. She is an active member of the Clark County Medical Society, Nevada State Medical Association, American Academy of Ophthalmology, and American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. She is married to Gregory M. Kwok, M.D. a gastroenterologist, and they have three sons.
